NEW PRIZES EVERY WEEK

The ball bounces down plinko-style to select a different promo prize, inventory allowing, every try.

This year I pitched a full-screen parallax scrolling game for the season Sephora promotion. Users would drop a ping pong ball to randomly bounce down the screen, passing Sephora branding assets in the foreground and background, to finally land in a slot awarding them one of eight prizes. This was all done through jQuery/AJAX for the front-end, PHP for the back-end (security and email validation), and MySQL for prize tracking. Sephora specified percentages chances for each spin and we awarded prizes against a real inventory.

This site had more resolution breakpoints to ensure a responsive and fun experience on all devices than their earlier sites. We also used state of the art javascript libraries allowing sound and scroll tracking. It broke sign-up records!

Demo copy is currently broken on Chrome (doesn’t follow ball down as howler.js is depreciated in Jan 2017).
